The Hill College Massage Therapy program is now enrolling for Spring 2021.

Licensed massage therapy instructor Adrina Carter, who brings over ten years of experience, will be the program instructor. Carter has studied anatomy and physiology, fundamentals of massage therapy, hydrotherapy, kinesiology, and much more. She has gained valuable experience through various massage therapy positions, including her work with chiropractors, physical therapists, nurse practitioners, and spas. She became a massage therapist to help others understand how to deal with muscle tension and to live a better, healthier life.

“I look forward to meeting new students and diving into the new and exciting massage therapy curriculum,” said Carter. Her skills include myofascial release, therapeutic massage, stretching modalities, prenatal, and trigger point therapy. Carter currently works at Exhale Spa at the Hyatt Hotel, a high-end spa in Dallas.

Massage Therapy is a 520-hour course, offered from Jan. 25 through June 9, 2021. Program cost is $3,053, including clinical hours, for a total of 52 CEUs earned upon completion. Financial assistance through the Texas Public Educational Grant (TPEG), up to $1,221, is available to those who qualify.

Classes will be held Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Cleburne. Students must register for all courses listed in the program and pay for classes at registration time. CPR for Healthcare Providers is required. Visit www.hillcollege.edu/ce for full registration requirements.

Hill College is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), and this course makes up the required curriculum for the basic certificate in massage therapy. The massage therapy curriculum is regulated by Texas Occupations Code 455, administrated by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulations.
